Isaac Williams, Youth leader in Baptist Church Mozaika Pilsen, Czech Republic.

Isaac Williams

Youth Leader

Originally from Michigan, USA, I have lived in Pilsen, Czech Republic since July of 2022, where I am a member of Mozaika Baptist Church.  Here I work with local and international kids, teens, young adults, and Ukrainian refugees.

CURRENT MISSION ACTIVITIES

Youth Group Leader

help lead the youth group in Mozaika Baptist Church, where we ministry to kids, teens, and young adults from the ages of 13-25 years old.  We meet every Wednesday and Friday for a hangout with snacks, games and activities, and a devotion or Bible study.  Attendees include kids from Czech Republic, Ukraine, Moldova, Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, and many others who come to visit.  Kids from all backgrounds and walks of life are welcome.

Refugee Ministry

A large part of the ministry here is working with refugees from the war in Ukraine.  A large percentage of our youth group and kids in the local area are Ukrainian.  I have had the privilege of walking through life with them, including dealing with trauma, loss, life in a foreign country, finding work/school, and discipling them in Jesus.

Other Activities

God has given me the opportunities to engage in several other missions-related activities, such as aid trips to Ukraine, Summer English camps here in Czech Republic, day camps and weekly Bible clubs in and around Pilsen, and teaching English and guitar lessons.

MORE ABOUT ISAAC

Isaac is from Metro Detroit, Michigan, where he grew up with his parents, brother, and two sisters. Isaac’s faith in Jesus Christ has helped him overcome many difficult situations, and he is always open to sharing his testimony. Isaac worked for 4 years as a youth leader at Memorial Baptist Church, and has worked with kids and teens since 2012. He has been the youth group leader at Mozaika Baptist Church since July of 2022.

Isaac’s first experience in Czech Republic was with a team of Americans in 2014, where he volunteered at an English camp. He fell in love with the country and its people, and began attending camps every summer, teaching English and Bible lessons.

In 2017, Isaac began to study the Czech language at Charles University in Podebrady, where he eventually graduated with a certificate in the Czech language and an English teaching minimum. Due to visa difficulties and the Covid-19 pandemic, he had to return to the US from 2019-2021.

Isaac was able to return to Czech Republic in July of 2022, when he moved to Pilsen to begin working with teens and young adults. In addition to youth work, Isaac teaches English and guitar, and works with Ukrainian refugees. In his free time, Isaac enjoys quality time spent with friends, playing guitar, and exploring nature. Isaac is a fan of games, movies, music, and travel.
